Francouver is a site that serves the Francophile and Francophone community in Vancouver, BC. It is the brainchild of Alex Brabant, who wanted a way to reach out and connect to other "Frenchies" in his city. He wanted a site that was friendly and easy to use with some Web 2.0 flair. Working closely with Alex, I created the logo and identity for Francouver, as well as designing the site.
Built using ExpressionEngine, Francouver boasts image galleries, a news blog and upcoming events list, (with a custom attending system!) and an integrated forum for members. It also has custom profile pages and quick link tools for logged in members.
Alex is eager to build more, and has recently added advertisements targeted at his French audience. Last April we reskinned the site as Frogcouver, and there are more practical jokes planned for the future.
